Default Drag slick help please!

I was looking at some drag slicks for track use and the tire sizes are different. I want to run a smaller rim not sure what size would be best I guess 16in. But I need to know how the sizes work and get some recommendations on what size to use. Thanks for the help.

The smallest size you can run on the c6 is a 17in wheel in the back. I have a buddy who is running zr1 wheels with Mickey Thompson ETs. They are DOT approved slicks and hook well.

Try finding a cheap set of c5 wagon wheels or zr1 wheels and mounting up some slicks on them... that is what I would suggest. You can find them for pretty cheap!

i am that buddy that bad06vette is referring to...

i am running 17x11 zr1 wheels in the back with mt et streets 26 11.50 17...before that i was running the 295 mt et street radials...they rubbed and didn't hook well so i swapped to the mt et streets...

as far as fronts go i am about to run 17" gto spares with m&h bias ply frontrunners...this combo only weighs 24lbs per side in the front...saves me alot of weight...i ran set of spares about 2 months ago with some heavier radial tires which made it weigh 36-38lbs per side...so i sold that setup and rebought the new set up with the bias plys instead of radials...

The 17x11 are a little too wide. His (dsp300c) slicks are a little stretched on those wheels, but they still work... I would look for a 17x9.5-10. That would be the perfect fit for 26 11.5x17.

So would the ZR1 17x11's be recommended for a 08 vette strickly for track use with slicks, or is this a bad idea?
