Default Head / Intake recommendations for a G5X1?

It appears as though I may have a sticky/faulty lifter and as such my heads and intake are going to come of. I am wondering if if I should replace my heads and intake at the same time as the lifters are replaced?

2005 C6 MN6
DTE 4.10 rear
LG Pro headers, Corsa Extremes
LG G5X1 cam (228/232 114 LSA)
UD Pulley
Stock 243 heads, LS6 valves, Comp 921 spring kit, 0.040 Cometic

Considering I have the G5X1 in place, is there any particular head / intake combo I should consider?

My original thought was an AFR 205 with ported FAST 92, but thought it prudent to see what others might suggest?

I have the G6X, I don't know about the Heads but you won't regret doing the VR

Of course you are going to see the most gains with the FAST and AFR's, but the factory 243 heads work pretty well with this camshaft as well.

To give you an idea of comparison's...take a look at the dyno graph below of a similar 2005 Corvette M6.

  • Run 001 Stock with VR intake
  • Run 002 LG Pro's installed and Tuned
  • Run 003 G5X1 cam kit installed
  • Run 007 FAST 90 intake installed (un-ported)

An those numbers are Without AFR cylinder heads.

Give me a call or email with any questions you might have, and we can wrap up a nice Christmas package for your Corvette

The car has a VR already. :-)

The dyno chart above was a key reason why I opted for the G5X1 + LG Pro + FAST in the first place!

Oh you were talking about the intake manifold? I thought you meant CAI go FAST all the way 92mm?

That combo makes for a very fun to drive car. Probably one of my favorites.

I see you're in Vancouver, BC. Who did your cam (installation) and tune?
