Hi
My 2005 C6 Corvette wont start with Key Fob - had to use key by license plate to get in. Not sure if its the Key Fob (no electrical working), or if its a dead battery - and, now that I need it towed to figure out the problems at the mechanics shop I cant get the car out of PARK to pull up on a flat bed - how does the tow company put the car on a flat bed if I cant get it out of PARK?
Help please.

More than likely, you need a new battery.
If possible, go and purchase a good new battery and install it yourself - that should take care of your problem.

If the battery is dead, you may be able to get the trans out of park by using jumper cables or a battery charger. If you try the headlamps and horn, that may let you know if the battery is weak or not. If the headlamps are dim, or the horn sounds weak, of if they do not operate at all, the battery is not up to par.
Also, if the batter is dead, you may want to disconnect the battery and try to fully recharge the battery with a battery charger that can supply sufficient amps to the battery. If your 2005 is still on the original battery, it may be time for a fresh battery.
If the battery is not dead, and it is some electrical anomaly, sometimes it helps to disconnect the negative battery cable for 1 min. and then reconnect. I have had to do this more that once. It resets the on-board control modules.
Good luck.

There are many good choices out there but if you plan on keeping your Vette for a few years,
I would invest in a good battery (e.g Sears DieHard or DieHard Platinum, Optima Yellow Top).
If cost is not a concern, I would go with the Sears DieHard Platinum 34 or 34/78.
Optima YellowTop. It will live through the deep discharge issue like those you are dealing with.
I don't know how much you know about Sears, but the Wall Street Journal says that they will close a bunch of stores after Christmas. You can get an Optima at any leading retailer like Advance, AutoZone, O'Rielly's, Costco, Sam's, Interstate, Jegs, Summit, etc.
If the car battery is good you will have a live dash when you push the start button. If the fob battery is bad the DIC will say "no fob detected". If you have the original battery, it should be replaced anyway.
