Default Header gaskets

Ready to install kook's headers and catt.x pipe. Any advice on what gasket sealant to use??? Which side of gasket?? Feel free to give any other advice with advice..happy holidays!

I did a search when I put my headers on and most people recommended the stock gaskets and those are what I used. No issues to report.

Yep, Stock OEM gaskets work best. No sealants. Lg used to supply header gaskets, now they dont . They recommend using oem gaskets
and a good number of CF members reuse the original ones that came with the Car.

I always reuse the stock ones. I spray a thin coat of copper coat on them and never had a leak yet on many cars and trucks.

stock- reuse your old ones if you like, mine have been off 3-4 times now with no issues

Stock gaskets worked fine for me "new ones," if you want to use silicone make sure it's hi-temp copper. I would definately use it if I was going to use the gaskets that came with the headers.
