So i was thinking (I know, it's dangerous) what is the perfect HP to weight ratio for a C6 with 13" rear tires? I know that the type of rears is going to make a difference, but generally speaking, what in your humble opinion, is the best.
In my case, it is for strictly street use, in short bursts from a dead stop, to rolling starts.
Being that most C6's weigh in at about 3k lbs, this shouldn't be that tough....

No such thing, IMHO. It depends on the powerband, weather conditions and how controllable the onset of torque is. That said, the simplest answer is that there is no ideal power/weight ratio, and to some extent most here would argue that the more, the better.

At a certain point though, the more HP you have, the less traction you'll get. At that point, it wouldn't be optimal. No?

Again, no drag strip, strictly street...
It depends on what gear you're in. Anything over 400WHP is pointless in 1st. You can hook up about 550WHP in 2nd. Over 600WHP in 3rd. It takes well over 700WHP to break 4rth lose... Etc.
But my point was about power delivery... I can drive a 600WHP centrifugal in snow but I think the car would be much more of a handful if those 600WHP were coming from a positive displacement blower. Driver skill has a lot to do with it as well; a few years ago I wouldn't have stood a chance of not killing myself in a car this powerful; it takes considerable practice to feel impending traction loss and know how to deal with it when it happens...
