Hmmmm.........a 2005 with a 7.0L motor. Well GM, that covers......nothing.
That's funny...you noticed that too?
I got a check gas cap warning years ago and I followed another forum members suggestion...he said to screw the gas cap on 'loosely.' You don't screw the cap down tight like you do in other cars. I followed his advice and I've never had another check gas cap warning.
If that doesn't work I would have the dealer check it out. I vaguely recall another potential venting issue that can occur as well.
Verily funny in that it is an actual fact. I met a gentleman at Road America this year that happened to own a black convertible, five made; 2 convertibles and 3 coupes, all black. It apparently was an early well kept pilot program engaged toward the development of the current Z06.
Wasn’t certain whether he was truthful so I decided to check the vin, the “E” was duly noted in sequence. Interesting what GM promotes covertly under our noses.
