Default C6 Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder?

Does anyone make an adjustable Clutch Master/Slave assembly for the C6 yet? I'm getting ready to put a new Tex Dual Disk in and would like to put in an adjustable setup at the same time. The Tex comes with spacers that you use initially until the clutch is broke in and then as it starts to show some wear and the pedal becomes out of adjustment you have to pull the whole trans, rear, torque tube and bell housing back out to remove the spacers to get the pedal back. I would would much rather upgrade to an adjustable system to avoid tearing the whole back out...

I wonder if you can modify the stock one? I was about to do that on my C5Z before I bought a Tick Adj Master. There is a writeup on LS1Tech in the manual trans section. It doesn't increase the volume in the master like the Tick, but it does make the rod adjustable.

You should PM my buddy GTODoug about that clutch before you put it in....he had a disaster with it and I don't think it's even made or sold anymore...for a reason I understand. He has a 530+ n/a 660 or something silly nitrous setup so he puts clutches to use, he's very happy with his Zoom dual as are many from my shop Horsepower Sales Pompano.

If they don't make a C6 master, you can install a C5 clutch pedal assy. and use a C5 adjustable master. We did that in Rodney's C6 Z06 to install a McLeod master cylinder.

Hi TJ, I just bought my rear from you all and it looks great, now I just need to get this Slave cylinder issue worked out so I can put it in...

Where did you source the c5 pedal assemly from? How much did you pay and how hard was the change over? What adjustable unit did you go with?

Thanks,

Originally I did want to source the entire ystem but I think I'll be fine with just the slave cylinder... I just want to make sure I can set this clutch up exactly right so I dont become one of the horror stories we read about on here. The Slave costs twice as much, but is well worth it when you figure an improperly adjusted clutch could cost you a couple grand all said and done...

I would still try to find a way to make the master adjustable. Anyone have a picture of a C6 master?

Check to see if this will fit a C6 slave. Makes changing fluid 1000x easier.

Thanks Dave, I'd like to find an adjustable Master as well, maybe I'll take my stock one out tomorrow and see what might be done. Maybe I can do something like the C5's are doing. If I take it out, I'll post some pics to get some feedback. I probably wont have all my parts in to put this back together until late next week anyway...

As of right now, our Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder and remote bleeder lines will fit C5 Corvettes only.

Our C6 products are currently in development and will be released VERY soon to have you C6 guys shifting quicker than ever, as well.

Well I wimped out on modifying my Clutch Master Cylinder...

I went to put it all back together and realized that even with the shims on the Clutch and all the shims on the Ram Adjustable Slave Cylinder, I was still 3/4 of an inch shy of where I needed to be. I called Ram and they sold me a 3/4 inch spacer for about $60. to take care of it. The drivetrain is currently back in the car now but I haven't tried it out due to waiting on some front rotors to come in.

Also, I found out that the Trans body cases are different for 07 than 05. I knew the extension housing were different due to the different Rearend design. The Backup lights and Reverse ingnition shut-off each have a separate sensor and since the 07's didn't have to be in reverse to shut off the ignition, it doesn't have a place for the sensor. I could send the trans out and have a different case put on which would cost a little over $300 with shipping or just wire a back up switch. I'm wiring a switch... The way I'm going with breeaking things, it wont be long before I need to replace the synchro's anyway and I can switch the housing at that time...
