I use an Accumate (www.accumate.com) with the supplied cigarette lighter plug. Plugs into the socket under the console lid.

I use a BatteryMinder and hook it up using the aux power outlet in the center console. Works just great and I don't have any extra wires on the battery.

Battery Tender, is the brand name of a product made by, "Deltran." They manufacture a type of product that usually is generically referred to as a trickle charger.

You can buy cheap trickle chargers under various brand names, but a, "Battery Tender," is the ultimate. It is programmed to charge, float charge, trickle charge, or do nothing at all; depending on the state of charge in the battery. It's not just a trickle charger; which most others are.

I know this sounds like I work for them, or have stock in the company but the fact is I don’t even own one of their products. But I have looked into the concept, and when I need one; a Battery Tender is the only brand I will consider for the safety, and longevity of my battery.

This is just my opinion, but it seems a lot of people are using the term, battery tender, when they are really just talking about trickle chargers.

Google, "battery tender," They are the first, non sponsored link.

I have used the Deltran Battery Tenders for over 15 years and they work as advertised. I have one on every car that is stored, even on the John Deere lawn tractor during the winter. The last battery in my 85 Corvette lasted for 10 years. The only reason that I replaced it was that it was 10 years old and the case started to swell a little. It still held a charge and did not show any signs of problems. I just use the clip on terminals and route the connector out through the upper A-arm opening in the inner fender on the 07 so that it is not draped across the fender and I can put the car cover on with no problem.

Plenty of threads on this, here's one:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...which-one.html

I use a CTEK 3300. Works great, no issues.

IIRC, there's a thread that discusses installation. Knowing what I know now, keep it simple -- alligator clips work fine. Quick-disconnect fitting also works fine and is convenient if you drive occassionally. I leave the hood unlatched to remind me to disconnect before driving off.

Some debate about where to hook 'em... follow the jump-start diagram? I simply connect directly to the battery posts. No problems.
