IMO
If I had to do it all over again. I would do ARH 1 7/8 headers and tune. Work that and the driver mod and wait with that till I bought a A&A Vortech kit! As far as power mods go, You only need that and a different catback. The rest doesn't matter much, Kind of a waste if you want big power as that is the biggest and best bang for the buck by far!

I have a Vararam, and I also later installed a VMAX ported throttle body. Both mods were noticeable to me, but the intake's gain was much more pronounced. I recommend both parts.
Or you could get serious and do the intake, longtubes, 4.10s, and a tune...muahahaha
If you want to keep it strictly legal long tube headers (with relocated cats) may not be what you want. If being legal is a concern you might want to research that a bit further.
The Vararam CAI is a well-respected and popular choice. FWIW I'm very pleased with the Lingenfelter high-flow intake. I don't think you'll physically notice a huge improvement (if any) just doing an intake but a true bottom feeding intake is an improvement. I'd consider the CAI as but one component in your overall modding plan...they all add up do increase performance.
Be cautious, a bottom feeding intake will make your car more susceptible to ingesting water should you plow through any deep standing water. My LPE intake handles rain just fine but I'm careful about those deep puddles.
Another good choice is the Vortex Ram CAI from Breathless Performance in Florida. It also has a ram effect like the Vararam but is less prone to any deep water sucking problems. I also liked the quality of the product over the Vararam.
