I would recommend taking things in steps, first plan what you really want and look at all the parts which will make that final plan work the best. Routes you can go, heads and cam, turbocharging, supercharging or even a nitrous system.
I always believed in opening up the breathing and exhaling of the engine as the engine is a huge air pump so the better it breathes the better it operates.
Headers and a good catback
Ported Intake or Fast Intake if you can get it from SpinMonster
Ported TB, from VMaxMotorsports or LS2 Works
160 thermostat
Tune
These are basic upgrades which will help in gaining some horsepower and much better throttle response.
Now what you need to know or remember is that it takes money to mod your car and you need to plan accordingly.
I agree with HawaiiC6...formulate a long range plan to implement in steps. How do you intend to use the car? Is it just a street cruiser, would you run it at a drag strip, a parking lot autocross or on a track (road course)? He had some good suggestions.
Depending on what you do with your car, remember there are other aspects to consider besides horsepower...wheels/tires, suspension, braking, handling, etc.
I'm leery about using forced induction on a stock, cast-piston engine and my personal opinion would be to avoid nitrous unless you're a serious drag racer. Some people use FI without issues but I've seen other guys tear their engines up. Again, just my personal prejudice. I'd focus and building a 'strong,' reliable engine.
I concur with headers, just done headers on mine but still using the stock mufflers...kinda "sneaky" unless you get on it or you know what kinda sound too look for ...very happy with the results (and I'm still tuning so there's more to come!)
what i did first was switch out the gears. I have an A6 and went with 3.15 and could have gone 3.42. this way i was able to continue to have engine warranty but got a real SOTP change. I also did the A6 tune. As for 6 speed / clutch there are some great gear sets out there for a very affordable price.
I then went LG long tubes and LG cats with stock exhaust with a engine tune, no drone and a great sound. this is also very reasonable way to get things happening. Now the engine has been opened up and that really has made this fun but more expensive.
I see you are in South Florida...you might want to call Horsepower Sales of Florida in Pompano Beach...954-984-8040. They can help you in whatever direction you want to go in. HPS is a top notch company that helps Corvettes (and other vehicles) go fast. Also, the first Corvette Challenge @ Palm Beach International Raceway (old Moroso) is Feb 14th. You should come out and run your Vette.

Main thing is you need to have a SNELL 2000 or 2005 rated helmet (SA or M rated is fine). Look forward to meeting you at the track!

Cmy six.......i do have an 07, are you really a marine???
Here's your answer from him.
Now it's time for his question. (He took a shot at you!!!)
Hey LAWLESS,
I would save my dollars (NOT Pennies... LOL) and get a Procharger System or go with Andy @ A&A and his system as he has a great reputation following him. Spend the $5,000 and you will have enough power to keep you happy for awhile.
I know if you do a head/cam package you will want more that next day for sure. Same thing if you do just headers/exhaust, you will want more horsepower the next day. You can do BOTH of the upgrades mentioned above but you will still want more horsepower the next day. Let us know which way you choose to go.
Good Luck, Charlie
