How can I find out what gears are in my car ? 2005 C6..if I have 342s is it worth putting 373s? But I don't know why I think I have 315s..
Manual or automatic?
If your car is a pure stock manual it has 3.42s.
If it's a stock automatic with the Z51 package then it has 3.15s.
If it's a stock automatic with the F55 package or even a base suspension car with the optional axle ratio then it also has 3.15s.
If it's none of the above then it has 2.73s.
In my opinion no, it is not worth going to 3.73s from 3.42s (in a manual car at least) I'd go to at least 3.90s.
3.73s are a great gear for automatics though.

WELL STATED!!!
I had the 2.73's in my car and knew that I was going to change them so I opted to get my car fully loaded with the 2.73's. I installed a supercharger and decided that the 3.42's would work best with my Procharger set-up. I am now running a F1A and not the P series Procharger anymore and............I LOVE MY 3.42's in the car.
IF you are NOT planning to really crank up the horsepower in your car you could put the 4.10's in there and have the fastest SOTP feeling when driving around town.
I know that there are some members on the forum that have the
4.10's with 500-600+ RWHP so I would listen to them and what they have to say about them.
Its an automatic A4 z51 so I have 315s? So should I put the 373s?

Yes, you currently have 3.15s.
And yes in my opinion you should now put in 3.73s for a very solid performance gain.
A higher stall torque converter would work wonders as well but will change the way the car feels a little bit in stop and go driving and you may or may not like that feel.
