Default Dead battery

I have an '07 Z51 coupe in my garage for the winter. I start the engine every so often to keep the battery charged and just to keep the car up to snuff. Yesterday, after two weeks, I went to start the car and the battery was dead. All systems were off..car in reverse as stipulated bt the dealer. After buying a battery charger, within 1 hour, I could start it. I let it run for 15 minutes. Is that OK or am I doing something wrong?

IMHO your doing wrong by "occasionally" starting the car. It takes a lot of juice to start and you got to run it quite a bit just to recoup that starting voltage. You never did put in ''the sitting time" voltage back in the car.

Get a battery TENDER and leave the car alone. I bought A couple Schumacher’s from Wally World a few years ago. They were about $17 then.

PS you do not have to leave a 07 in reverse, that was only for the 05 Manual cars (I had one) the dealer is feeding you
