The famous LS1LT1 car went from bone stock 12.21 to bolt-on 11.70 with the help of Cartek tune, rear drag radials, front skinnies, who knows what weight removed, other Atco brotherhood secrets and yada yada to achieve the 11.70. It is even possible the VR could have even slowed him down

Maybe, maybe not...but I know I wont have to worry about hydrolock

And how much did you pay for your vararam?
What was the temp difference? 60?
I've said my peace here, I don't drag race anyway.

I've have never had a VR, I can see through the BS and refuse to put crap on my car.
I currently have and have always had the LPE unit.

Vararam didn`t slow me down. As i have one of the fastest cam only with bolt-ons. I don`t see anyone on the list running 125mph with stock gears and stock heads/stock compression...The Vararam works, plain and simple. Subfloor has a vararam,C6DVL,Dennis,Marc,HAHA(#1 H/C LS3), and so do i. If you haven`t noticed all the TOP spots on the list are held by guys running with vararams...Also the vararams are doing well in the ZO6 sections as well....Don`t knock what you haven`t tried.

I dont see any Top spot for VR on the Z06 bolt on list. I didnt knock it, just dont think VR gives anyone .50+ by its all lone self even if it is some special made custom unit.

Stats are stats, anyway you look at it the Vararam is on the fastest cars for a reason...And its NOT because its the slowest CAI.

I never said the ZO6 Top Spot was held by vararam. I did say that the vararam is doing well on the ZO6`s as well.

I have plenty of logs to show how fast the IAT`s come down with the vararam...No, i don`t have logs with another CAI but as it shows on the list, the vararam is on the fastest C6`s.

Seems to me there are so many posts of quality issues, old and recent with the Vararam that it does give one pause, to stop and think: is this what I want for my car? The fact that the company steps up and says call me, or here's a new part is great. But still...

I know my Xcelerator's (Honker clone) IAT's come down faster than Santa down a chimney. My Xcelerator is also fastest on the C6 list at my local track. Personally I think they are all about the same performance wise and if the VR guys switched and visa versa, I dont think the times would change a bit. Though quality may be a different story. VR is definately not on anybody's top list for that!

Maybe know one at your track has a vararam...

Just kidding....I am always open to making my car go faster. If there is a better(as in et`s) CAI i am up for it.

So far its the VARARAM for the win!

Totally agree. Most of the faster cars on the list have a certain track in common. Think that track is MUCH more the reason for the fast times then the difference between a VR and BPP or any other intake. Once you open the shroud they all perform similar.

I didnt think of that, track and/or DA, but come to think of it.....its all one track, ATCO (or a surrounding one)...
