Guys,
I am trying to remove my door lock/memory bezels on my door panel. I cant for the life of me figure out how to remove the reverse nuts that hold these on. Anybody done these before?
Thanks,
Steven
It is a semi permanent part of the door panel. There are no nuts on it. There are plastic studs on the door lock panel with metal retaining rings pushed over the plastic studs. The ring is designed to bite into the plastic to hold it tight. You could take a small screwdriver and pry the tabs of the retaining ring out of the plastic studs, but be careful or the plastic will break.
I was able to use small needle nose pliers to remove the nuts. They cut threads into the pins so they can be unscrewed. Just be careful the plastic pins are fragile.
