I am thinking about installing a cam (not myself). I dont want a choppy idle so I am figuriing something mild. (see sig) for existing mods, I would like to know how much more HP will I get from installing a cam?
I would also like to get LG longtubes w/cats eventually. I am still weighing my options with my car as far as performance mods. I know I already have a CAI, and if I get a procharger the CAI will have to come off.

The hp gains will depend on the size of the camshaft and your other modifications. The cam grind I will suggest is going to be different with those options you have.
- Longtubes on
or
- Factory manifolds
- Procharger
or
- Naturally Aspirated
Feel free to give me a call and I'll be happy to help you choose the proper parts.

For existing mods, you can get 20 - 30 HP and similar gains in torque from a swap. As noted above, figure out your game plan before buying a cam. Headers and/or a S/C can greatly change what would be ideal for you.
Thanks everyone for any replies and help. I think I am leaning more towards FI, because for the price per HP it seems FI is a better option. And I can always take the S/C off and sell it seperately if needed.
The headers, cam dont add all that much HP whereas the procharger can gain over 100 in one shot. Yes the S/C is more money but as I said the price per HP is what I am looking at here.
