Default Michelin PS & tire sensors

Hi all,

I just bought the Michelin Pilot Sports for my C6 and the recommended air pressure is 50 psi, but now my car constantly yells at me that my tire pressure is too high. I lowered it down to 43 to see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't. I know there are others out there that run these tires, anyone know how to get this to stop?

Run the recommended pressures found in your owners manual (I run 30/28 on PS2's). The 50 PSI listed on the sidewall is Max pressure recommended my the mfg.

Ok, was told it needed the higher pressure because of the difference in the aspect ratio - 35 to 30?

For every vehicle I own, I go with what is on the door sticker or owner's manual. I may raise tire pressures about 2 psi over the door sticker or owner's manual for better mileage or performance. The tire sidewall does mention tire pressure but it is a maximum pressure at maximum load. This maximum may be well above what the rim is rated for. For your safety, please double check the recommended tire pressure. 50 psi sounds dangerously high as does 43 psi. My guess is that the recommended tire pressure should be either 32 psi or close to it.

I agree with those posted replies!
Those tires must feel hard as rocks at that pressure!

I had them too and ran them in the 30-40psi range depending on what type of driving I was doing.
