F55 Help!! -
In my quest to buy a c6 corvette, i have decided to choose the selective ride over the z-51.. now can someone tell me which year model c6 comes with the chrome ****? i seen some c6 with a plain black plastic switch that just says "tour" & "sport". i want the one that is circular and chrome. like one this webpage

i know you can just do the modifications and get it that way, but if i wanted to purchase a c6 that already has it which year would that be?

The round **** with the chrome trim ring is definitely on the '09.
I think what they called a tombstone switch was used in years '07 and earlier. It was a rocker switch that was mounted on a plastic piece that snaped into the console cover that was shaped like a tombstone (round on one end and straight on the opposite end).

'08's and '09's have the faux carbon fiber console with the round chrome F55 ****. Earlier C6's have a grey console with the black **** in the tombstone.

You can install the newer Carbon Fiber Center Console in '07 and earlier C6 Vettes.
KAWAL sells a wiring harness adapter to convert the Tombstone-mounted F55 Sport/Tour Switch to the later version.
Just buy the best C6 you can find and make this simple (and not too expensive) mod if necessary.

This is my 2007' Vert that I changed out the stock 07' silver console with the Tombstone swich to the 2008. Go with Gene Cully (GM Parts House). He will set you up with everything you need. Ray Kawal can sell you the harness for the switch. A very straight forward swap out!!
