What exactly is the point of springs in addition to the stock spring (helper springs)? It's not like anyone is going to be hauling a load of gravel in the back...
OK, I guess some people need a higher spring rate... Isn't there a firmer leaf available though? Seems like that would be more cost effective and would provide less unsprung weight than the leaf/coilover setup. Also, if you're going to go to the expense and trouble of putting "sorta" coilovers on the car, why not do it right and ditch the stock leaf? To do both seems like kind of a half assed fix, like adding air shocks to a Chevelle to clear fat tires.
