What mods are the most "needed". I dont want to repeat my earlier mistakes, but I want to get started while I'm waiting to bring it out.
I have the Artic White coupe and installed the stripe kit in black and titanium. Really like it.
Huge stereo system, Prt exhaust, cold air intake, lowered, all fluids, ect, is 'everything possible'? A stroker with a supercharger is more like it but I know what you mean.

There are many mods which would add to performance without being detectable such as gears which I would do now. I dont see how it could be detected. Most dealers wont have an issue with things like headers and a vararam but check with them first. Other than such mods, floor mats and chrome covers for all the engine parts to hold in heat are always trick yo.

headers, CAI, exhaust, and tune really make the car a different animal. picked up about 50rwhp on my LS3 A6 with it. and the sound is 100X better

One guy I race with did: CAI, Headers, Converter, Gears (3.15), DR's and a tune and his 08 A6 runs consistant 11.3's. He either needs to slow down to an 11.49 or slower or add a 6pt roll bar to pass tech now. I will be running my 08 A6 this weekend with a CAI and DRs on it. My best pass to date was a 12.17 with my NPP exhaust on open. I'm hoping I can crack into the 11's on at least one pass.

There is a fine line for the LS3 mods if you like to go to the strip and not want to install a roll bar. Probably the converter is the main culprit here, depending of course on the DA at the time!

Thanks everyone for your great input and ideas. One thing, this wont see the strip. Will use SS there. I know I need some form of exhaust and one thing I did not mention was my 08 has the paddle shifter. When looking at possibilities I noticed one system GHL made one earmarked for paddle shifters. I called to ask why and no one answered. Are they even in business? No other system has this differentiation. What possible difference could this make.

Not true. Corsa Sports exhaust has one system for the M6 manual and one for the A6 auto. Reason being is is the auto creates more drone and requires more resonators to equalize that out. The Corsa A6 system is the ONLY system that has no drone, albeit with less loud and deep sound than other makes. Here, you cannot have your cake and eat it too.

I think this is a great mod for the A6 if you use the paddle shift a lot. Maybe you get use to stock, but I did not like it when I test drove the A6.

Also, with just a bit more work, you can DIY that mod yourself.

I put a Killer Bee CAI, Diablo Sport Tune, and Corsa Xtreme exhaust on mine... it feels faster and the sound is beastly with no drone at all.
