When I had my 01 & 04 I did about everything possible. Huge stereo system, Prt exhaust, cold air intake, lowered, all fluids, and on and on.
My 08 is sitting in the garage waiting for winter to end and it got to 30 degress today and spring fever hit.
What mods are the most "needed". I dont want to repeat my earlier mistakes, but I want to get started while I'm waiting to bring it out.
I have the Artic White coupe and installed the stripe kit in black and titanium. Really like it.

I just got a 08 A6 and I can tell you headers\cam is the best bang for the buck IMO

You don't "need" any mods any more than you need your warranty denied for mods

If you do only exhaust, headers, intake and tune your warranty should not be voided. It really depends on your service manager at your local GM dealer. Make sure before you do mods, discuss them with your local service manager at GM dealership. My service manager has no issues with headers, intake, and exhaust. All these mods do is simply let your car breath better than they do from the factory. As far as tuning goes, my service manager frowns on this. However, make sure you get a copy of your stock tune before having any mods tuned so that you can go to factory tune when having car serviced or having warranty work done. Also keep in mind that GM is locking computers on new vettes now. So, if you have a good relationship with your GM service manager you can always ask them not to touch your computer when in for service
Ragtop, I saw your list. Nice...Also saw you have a 2002 Camaro SS. Part of my orginal question comes from me having a 2000Camaro SS. ARE did everything you can do to one. RamAir hood, McCloud Clutch, TrackPac suspension and on and on. Trying to keep this LS3 simpler.

This is not a true statement at all. Go look at the GM warranty, any mods, including aftermarket wheels and tires can void your warranty. INtake, Tune and headers will def void the warranty. Just look at the"GM WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY" thread I posted with actual GM documents stating the above.
If you are worried about the warranty, get a cat back exhaust and cosmetics..
Can someone point me in the right dirrection to decide on exhaust. I see Maryland Speed has the 2 way exhaust but talks about with and without npp. I think that would be one of the first to accomplish but I do not understand the process and what I need to complete the system. I did a search and that was not helpful. Thanks

read my whole post there. I said it depends on your service manager if your warranty is voided. Some dont care and some do. The service managers can allow it.
I did this Vararam, LT Headers, Tune, Cat-Back Exhaust (not necessary for performance) in the first month and it really helped. Played with a friends 00' Camaro SS with H/C/I/E and he could not take the LS3 Vette with bolt-ons.

doh, my bad bro, this is def a very important factor!!!

My 99 had an ARE motor with heads, cam big stall etc. The 2002 I kept a little nicer. Kept the SS exhaust, mild cam & UD pulley, FTRA. Quiet and quicker than stock.
There is little to no gain from an aftermarket catback. Buy it for noise, errr I mean sound.

Not true. There was a bug on the GM TIS site that froze up some ecm's foe awhile. but they are NOT being locked by GM.
My choice for LS3 would be catback (sound), headers and tune with maybe a Honker CAI. Definately DR's as well for the strip.
