poor service
You have purchased a used vette with relatively low mileage at 5k per year. I would suggest first keeping a cool head, I would then investigate the legal options within your locality. Bring the car to a second source (look for a shop that has a good rep in your area - this forum contains a wealth of info) and have an analysis done on exactly what happened, how it may have happened, and what it would cost to fix. Have them look over the entire car from top to bottom and compile a list of present or potential (realistic) problems.
Visit the seller and ask then to do the same (w/o letting them know what you have done) and see what they come back with. If there are obvious, potentially catastophic or costly problems they should be able to locate and list the same items as your "second source". If there are problems and they fail to list them then you (might) know they are not playing on the up and up.
If problems (or not) are found I would search this website for common problems found within your year, model, options.
Keep a cool head, do your research, and obtain second opinions. It may have been abused or not but these cars are built for a beating.
Visit the seller with all your findings and request a remedy to the situation(s). You may end up with a better vehicle than bone stock after the repairs. There are many after market parts available that are better than those offered OEM.
BTW: Look for GM issued service bulletins.
Good Luck

The dealer let me borrow his 07 F150 to go pick it up from best buy and take it home. He came and got me when my Mercury broke down. ect. Chevy dealer treated me like crap and will never get my business again. May be thats why thay needed the bail out money way worse then ford did. Its pretty sad. I was thinking of getting a 09 corvette, but I will have to find a better place.
