I have a 05/c6 stock everything with 48000 miles, i take it out about 4 to 5 times a mth,the last few times upon start-up it smokes bad for about a minute or two and then is fine the rest of the day, any thoughts on why? and what should i do?
the engine is a 400, the smoke is white or gray, more white

This may sound funny, but I could also be as simple as steam. A little condensation burning off. Does it smell like burning? if not then it is definitely steam.

I agree. If not steam, it could be valve guide seals leaking a little oil in to the combustion chamber(s).
Also, are you loosing any coolant?

Valve guide seals was my first thought, but that is usually one blue puff at start up.
One of the byproducts of a internal combustion engine is moisture. That is probably what it is.
