I have a 2007 conv. and last week I went to start it and the battery was dead and it wouldn't start. I popped the hood and the positive terminal had a lot of green junk on it so I removed it from the battery post and cleaned it well. I reinstalled it on the battery and put a charger on the battery. The next day I checked and the battery was charged and all appeared ok. When I started the car I noticed the telescoping wheel did not extend. I did a search on the forum and read that you can reset it by moving the switch in or out several times until it starts to work again. I have tried this several times on several days but it still doesn't move. Any ideas before I make a trip to the shop? Thanks in advance.
When I tried to start the car with the dead battery the windows went down about 1 inch and stopped. ( without moving the window button ) when I started the car after charge I raised them and they are now working ok . I will try and disconnect the battery again and see if that helps. Thanks for the input.
