Hi guys im new on here and also new to the corvette so I'm just getting use to a few things on the car so bare with me please.
I'm getting a:
P2122 Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1 Circuit Low Voltage ECM
P2128 Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 2 Circuit High Voltage ECM
The car will start and run for a few seconds and then the ECM is cutting the car off. Has anyone had this issue I search but found nothing that is to the same problem. I unplugged the neg terminal to reset the ECM and i unplugged the plug on the gas pedal but still no go.
I have tapped into the APP wire on the top of the accelerator pedal for a throttle position signal to my data-logger, but it hasn't caused any problems like you're experiencing. I think the other end of those wires (the "throttle-by-wire" system) are on the throttle body.
If you can ascertain that the APP wires are properly connected, the first thing I would start checking is ground connections for the circuits. Very often problems like yours are caused by a loose ground connection.
Take a look for any black wires from the connector above the pedal and going into the throttle body. Trace them and see if you can find where they are secured to a frame ground source and make sure it is firmly connected and giving a good ground.
Well the main problem is the cars shutting off because of the code im assuming. BUT when it is on for that brief moment the gas pedal will not work(press the gas down all the way and nothing happends). So im at a loss i cant see any grounds that are loose either.
Also this is weird the cars in reverse and i push the clutch all the way down and the car started moving in reverse with the clutch pedal all the way down. Could this be something with the whole pedal assembly?
my local dealer caught fire a few weeks ago haha. I can fix it myself if i can pin point the problem its starting to seem like the pedals has a electrical issue for some reason.
