Polishing OEM wheels
Does anyone know if the painted wheels on my '09 C6 can be stripped and polished? I know they can be chromed, but I like the polished Aluminum look. Where would I go in So. Cal to have it done?

Yes they can. The stock rims are cast so when polishing the outcome will be a little grainy as compared to a forged set of rims. It will turn out ok , just be aware that it will not be as tight looking as a forged rim. In other words it will not reflect as well. Google wheel repair in your area.

Welcome! In answer to your other question, I believe all polished wheels up until the '08 gumbys were polished but not forged. The '08s were the first standard/optional wheels to be forged.
