Default Quick question about lifters

doing my cam swap, and realized something. im honestly really embarrassed to ask this, but the lifters have this hole shown in the picture for the oil to be expelled from, but does it matter whether it's pointed upwards or downwards? i really have no idea and i feel completely retarded that i didn't pay attention to which way they were when i pulled them out. thanks for all the help and sorry for the stupid question.

It has to go down because the roller goes on the cam.

haha, lol, i realize that, i meant which side should the oil hole face, towards the intake manifold, or towards the pistons?

Doesnt matter, when they are installed by GM, some are in one way and others are facing the other way.

lol, that's okay. i was gona say, i'm not THAT much of a dumb***. i've built a few motors, but this is my first lsx. i just didn't know if it even mattered or not because i know what they're purpose is with respect to the lifter, but wasn't sure which direction the expelled oil was supposed to go with respect to the head, lol.
