I have AR Headers with Catted X-pipe with stock mufflers (not NPP) and they sound great actually. Not loud at all when just cruising. No drone. They sound excellent when you get on the gas. I opted for the 1 3/4". Good luck.

I had AR headers, Catted X-pipe and stock mufflers. I tried aftermarket (Rte 66), lots of drone. Went back to stock, too quiet. Now have Z06 mufflers with rpm adjustable control..Just right...
To answer your question, at idle, maybe just a bit louder, cruising no difference, or very little. At WOT it screamed...

This is from the dyno pull. The dyno masks some of the exhaust sound, but you get an idea how quiet it is with stock mufflers.

I have a set of the Z06 NPP exhaust mufflers with uncut pipes and a Pipedreams controller for sale at 700 complete.
The controller has 2 key fob remotes for opening and closing the butterflies from outside the car (nice at the car show) and they can also be controlled from the homelink visor. It alone was 299 new.

When I had my '05, I had Melrose Headers, Random Hi-Flo Cats, X-Pipe and Stock mufflers that were Jet Hot Coated just like the Melrose Headers-LOOKED AND SOUNDED GREAT!!! Normal driving wasn't quite stock sounding but when you WOT it, WOW! All I could hear was the roar of the engine; the sound of the exhuast was like the back 2 channels on a 4 channel stereo system-when you got on it, you heard them but the engine was louder at WOT! To me, that was MUSIC TO MY EARS!!!
