Default Totally different beast

I have a base 08 with Z51 sways and FSD's. Great improvement right there. I had a Tunnel plate added (E2). Now this car really sits in the turns. Very noticeable difference rounding turn, feels like the front end has become lighter. But what has really happened is that the car plants in from the middle towards the rear, no twist. It is really a significant change. The FSD's were very noticeable improvement. The sways helped but I think the Tunnel plate has helped even more. Probably accumulative!

This is a totally different ride than what came from the factory.

I added Elite Engineerings Tunnel Plate with thermal ABS but didn't really notice any difference in handling. Just received the Z51 Sway Bars from Gene today and will install using the PFADT Poly Bushings within the next few days. I will let you know what I think of this combo once complete and I have a chance to test on our winding mountain roads.

No doubt about it the car is stiffer horizontally. Car feels much tighter. By the way this was done with the addition of long tubes and while I love the sound/performance, the plate addition has really caught my attention. I was surprised.

Appears only 4 bolts per sway need to be removed to change the bars or am I missing something?

There is the two on the end that attach to the a-arm tie rod area.

I hightly doubt the tunnel plate makes much difference on a C6. The C6 plate is allready solid aluminum. On the C5 the OEM plate is stamped metal so there is some advantage, but it's very minor.

I recently took mine off and sold it and went back to stock as I'm putting my Z06 back to stock. I felt zero difference other than the fact the tunnel gets warmer w/o the heat reflective barrier.
