think about this, if the rotor is running true the pads are almost touching, when you apply
the brakes, there is no reason for the pedal to shake, but is the rotor is not running true
it will move the piston in the caliper back and forth, thus causing the shake!!
the brake compound will not cause the brake pedal to pulsate up and down.
your brake installer should be able to check if the rotors are true, the pads are properly seating and the calipers are on correctly and tight.
there is such a thing as hot spots and material transfer that leaves material on the rotor. your installer can lightly scratch the surface of the rotor(s) and eliminate those spots.
but then, this is the person who's saying it requires a 200 mile break in which I don't get at all.
my only suggestion is go to the baer or stoptech sites and see how to break in the pads and rotors. try that. if that fails, maybe you need a new brake installer person.
it shakes when I press hard at speed higher than 55MPH lower speed and gentle it's almost perfect
I have the Eradispeeds as well and they do the EXACT same thing. I have also read about another person on this forum who had them and had the same problem. I assume they are warped but have no idea. I really wish I would have never bought them. Mine have GM ceramic pads by the way, so I'd be willing to bet its the rotors,
They have a lifetime warranty against warping, but I can't tell which one or ones are warped. Guess I'll have to take them to "brake check" or someplace like that to have them all checked. What a pain in the ***. I shouldn't have to go through this with $1000.00 + rotors. They were installed properly and every bolt was tightened to exact torques. All the holes also have stress cracks and these rotors have NEVER seen a track.
I installed the Eradispeed Plus 2 last year. If you do the install yourself there are instructions on how to properly break in the rotors. If you had someone else install them did they instruct you on the correct way to break them in. It's kind of impossible to do what they say unless you live in the middle of nowhere or have access to a track but I attemped to break them in correctly.

DBA 4000 series, slotted, smooth as glass, stop on a dime!
Where'd you find the best price on the DBA's?
Vette don't need rotors yet, but I've had ErSpds on other cars, never very happy w/ them. The cost savings from R&R'ing the rings once the drilled rings cracked & warped wasn't worth it & after the huge PITA it was changing just rings, MUCH more labor intensive, it would still shake.
