I have 2005 c6 MN6 , Yesterday the check engine was shown in my cluster while I was driving my car and when I stopped I turned off the car and I put the gear in the reverse in order to put the Accessory mode off , but the accessory mode was on and there is the phrase put in reverse mode was shown in the cluster and I noticed 1 more thing, when I put the car in the reveres mod. the reveres lights are off ???? , I looked down the car and I saw that 1 of the O2 sensors touched the Catalyst in the X-pipe and melted down , so I bought another O2 sensor and I replaced it but still the car won’t turn off and the reverse lights are still off ???? and i have to take the battery off in order to turn the car off.

I'd PM Talon90... He knows these cars inside and out!!
I'd agree with above advice to disconnect batt. Also, how old is this '05 car's battery? It may be time for a replacement since apparently when they get toward the end they start acting funny due to lack of full charge.
You should never burn a 02 wire unless you have aftermarket exhaust improperly installed. Given the fact you did burn a wire, I suspect you might have damaged your rear harness that gives the car information on the transmission. I would focus efforts on where you burned the wire and see if you burned some others...and get those repaired if you did.

I agree with you Joe_G , when i stopped the car it smell like there are some wires are burning, i looked under the car to see if there is any other wire burn but i couldn't find any , i took it to the dealer yesterday and they said ok we are familiar with this broplems and we know what is wrong with the car but they didn't tell me exactly what ??
but they said because your car is from out side Kuwait (Middle east), i bought it from USA , and because we have avery very high tempreture in the Summer and due to the high heat it is usual to have some burned wires ( I don't know if it's true or nott???), i'll see what the dealer will fix and i'll let you Know .
