Harmonic Balancer
I have a 2005 and have had the harmonic balancer replaced twice in the past 6 months. I know that early '05 had an issue with the bolts backing out which leads to catastrophe. But why is my car eating through balancers?

Why GM ever changed I don't know but I believe all of the Gen III and Gen IV V8 engines use a press-fit damper with no keyway. This has been the case since the LS1 was introduced in 1997. As mentioned, pinning the crank would be the most worry-free solution.
Are you always using new torque-to-yield bolts? These bolts can't be re-used or they're destined to fail.
You don't have a supercharger do you? Supercharged applications should always pin the crank.
As noted, the harmonic balancer was a problem with very early 2005's. I believe they went to an integral diamond embedded friction washer as a production part in the 2006 LS2 and LS7 (and I suspect in the late model 2005's as well). I'd make sure you're still not using an early 2005 crank-pulley. Good luck!

The car is still under the warranty so all the work is being done at the dealer. With this being said the car is stock and the HB is being installed to factory/dealer spec with new hardware. I took the car in the first time when my car shredded the belt. They replaced the HB and sent me on may way. The second time the car had a squeak belt sound so I attempted to lubricate the belt with belt lube and when that didn't work I took it to the dealer. Once again they said the HB was wobbling and wanted to replace it again. Thats about all the info I can send your way now. I will add more info when I get my car back from the dealer and actually see the invoice for the repairs
