Default C6 Error Codes Air Bag Light

I need help. Is there a published list of error codes for C6 Coupes anywhere. I understand some auto parts dealers can read the codes. I have had a horrible 5 months dealing with GM dealers on a 2007 C6 Coupe with 4000 miles on it. Started with Airbag light on constantly and vehicle electrical system shutting down. Now after 6 visits and 2100 miles put on the car diagnosing the problems, I still have electrical gremlins. They range from Nav screen going blank for a few seconds to memory seat not working to reading light in rear view mirror on and off by itself. Electrical smell on occasion. several repairs have been attempted. Air bags replaced, sensors in drivers seat replaced, broken or crushed wires under seat repaired or replaced.
This is my third C6 in three years with problems!!! One was a Z06 with a burnt wiper motor at 1400 miles and battery defective!
What is the deal with GM these days!!!!!
I am in the process of gathering information for a BBB arbitration hearing and need to pull the latest error codes. The airbag light was stuck on yesterday so I know therr should be current error codes.

The Air Bag codes are from the BCM (Body Control Module) and I believe the only way to read them is with at TEC-II.

I've been fighting the air bag light for three years. It's random and been fixed several times. It never sets a code. The dealer tries different things and it works OK for awhile and then shows up occasionally. Of cousrs it's never on when I take it to the dealer.

This is exactly what I need. The codes listed on my service repair bills match these exactly. Now I just need to find an impartial service center that can pull the current codes listed on the car before arbitration.

Mine always lists several error codes. The service center just can not find the intermittent loop breaks. Mine has manifested in several electrical gremlins. My wife will not even get in my car at this point.

I also have an airbag warning on my 2009 C6 with only 9,000 miles on it!!! Dealer was going to order a new drivers side side air bag for me a month ago. Haven't heard a word. Report this to the feds if we have non functioning airbags??

Default Air bag light

My C6 had the air bag light intermittently come on and of course it would not be on while at the dealer. What caused this problem on my C6 was a connector under the driver's seat. It had a pin not seated all the way in the connector. Once the dealer repired the connector the problem never returned. THere is a NTSB on this but not sure what the bulletin number is.

Depending on the state couldn't this fall under the lemon law if the dealer has repeatedly tried to repair the problem but unable to fix it? I think Michigan gives the dealer 3 tries and then if the owner files a claim against them it goes to some sort of a hearing and they make a decision as to whether GM has to buy the car back or give him a new one. My Dad had his 2006 C6 replaced with the next model year after the dealer was unable to fix his problem with the car just shutting down while driving he got a judgment in his favor and GM replaced it. I'd have to ask him the exact details as I don't remember what the whole process involved.

Been there done that. But with the other symptoms the OP is observing, I would guess he has bigger issues - like perhaps a faulty ground(s) or a faulty main harness.

I've had the same and it mostly appears after shall we say "spirited" acceleration. Resets after the next start. I'm not concerned about it.

I had this same problem. Ended up being a bad driver seat harness. It had something to do with the sensor that detects weight to activate the airbag.

At one point it got pretty obious -- when I would lean forward and take weight off of the seat, the light would disappear.

Yeah I had my Airbag light come on during sprited acceleration about 1000 miles after buying it new. It would reset when I turned the car off and back on. The dealer asked me when it came on and I told them during hard acceleration in excess of 100 mph. He studdered for a minute and said we cant duplicate those conditions. I said i hope not in my car. The light never came on until I hit 140 or so under hard acceleration. They ended up ordering a new sensor and I havent had a problem since. I have about 8500 miles on my 2009 c6 ls3 without any more problems.
