Service active handling system

I've had 450+ rwhp on my 05 Z51 for over a year now and just recently upgraded to a Spec twin plate clutch.
I noticed an intermittent service active handling message when turning off traction control.
Currently, when I start the car, I get a service engine soon and service active handling message immediately.
I hear a rattle when I go over bumps in the passenger rear quarter.
What's wrong?

I recently had this same issue so I might be able to help you out. Send me a PM if you like and I'll explain how I resolved it.

I’m not sure how much (if any) of this will help, but this is what happened to me and how I ended up getting it resolved.
After swapping engines in my car recently (I put in an LS7) I immediately got the warning messages for all three systems (ABS, AH & TC) on my DIC whenever the car was running. I took the car to a local dealership and because the Parts Manager was a friend he brought out a Tech II scanner to the parking lot (so he didn’t have to charge me anything) to see what codes got set in the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module, which is essentially your ABS unit).
According to the scanner both the front right and rear right vehicle speed sensors were showing a problem and because of that, whenever he tried to clear the codes they immediately got set again. Figuring that there must have been a short somewhere in the system, I took the car home and decided to try troubleshooting the wiring.
I did a quick visual of the wiring for the speed sensors and immediately discovered that I had accidentally pinched part of the harness behind the ABS bracket but when I examined the wiring more closely I didn’t see any breaks or damage so I kept investigating.
By using a multimeter and disconnecting the harness from the EBCM (I can e-mail you the pinout diagram if you’d like) I was able to test all four wheel sensors. How I did this was by inserting the probes into the correct place on the harness (there’s eight wires in total, two for each wheel) and then spinning each wheel and then watching the multimeter. As it turns out each wheel sensor emits a small amount of DC voltage so whenever I spun a wheel and saw the multimeter reading change I was able to determine that the wiring was intact as was the wheel sensor.
After seeing that there didn’t appear to be any shorts in the wiring and all four sensors appeared to be working correctly I was rather dejected and put everything back together figuring that the next step would be to take it to the dealership and get ready for a “time and materials” job where they charge you by the hour (which would have been out of pocket since it wasn’t a warranty-covered problem) and there’s no guarantee in the end of even finding the problem. When I first started up the car the lights stayed on as expected but after about 5 seconds they turned off and ever since then my TC, AH and ABS have all been working fine.
I’m not exactly sure what ended up fixing the actual problem but my guess is that either the pinched harness was somehow causing a short or disconnecting and reconnecting the harness from the EBCM somehow made for a better connection.
You may not end up being as lucky as I was, but hopefully the diagnosis steps I outline above should at least allow you to verify that all four sensors are working properly which would at least eliminate that as a potential cause if you end up having to start looking elsewhere for the problem or ultimately take it to the dealership.
Hope this helps,
Christopher
Good luck!

I got headers put in and thats when it started. Since then I can't enjoy WOT over 5k rpm or AH comes on. Did you have your intake and TB ported Navyc4s?

I will let you know if that makes any differences.

yes and yes...
If you found the cause for the AH malfunction in the MAF then Im in deep crap. I have a similar issue with my AH and am just about to give up. Im about to click my heals together and say I wish it goes away.. I wish it goes away!
Glad to hear of another Vette owner that solved this on his car. I'll have to try it.
