Default C6 Vert roll bar

I had one made by Pierce Motorsports in Torrance CA. I don't have a picture handy but it is a single hoop and allows the power top to operate. I suggest you try him.

Does the design meet SCCA requirements?

Default Lingenfelter

LINGENFELTER did my 05 Coupe back in the day when there was not many available. I would give them a call and ask (doesn't hurt). The rollbar that they sent me was INCREDIABLE and SOLID as can be along with REMOVABLE side bars with use of 2 pins. They are a little expensive but you are getting A TOP QUALITY ROLLBAR.
Let me know as I also have an 07 Convertible that could use 1 of these!

I've seen some vendors carry vanity hoops that are not meant to offer rollover protection. What would it take for a hoop to be certified?

Would love more information about this. Has he done a 6 point on a c6 vert before?

(EDIT: or even a 4 point?)

i know wolfe doesn't make one for a C6 vert...i said i was going to talk to wolfe and see if they would be willing to make one for the C6 vert since there was alot of interest on here and that i would find out more by friday night...i stated they make one now for a C6 couple b/c mine is the first C6 coupe they have done...

now on to my UPDATE for C6 verts from Wolfe Race Craft:
I contacted Dan today at Wolfe Race Craft in Forth Worth, Tx and his is willing to make a C6 vert roll bar. All he needs is a local C6 vert owner to contact him at 817 275 8899 . He will use this persons car to measure and make the jig for the roll bar. Once this persons roll bar is done and installed in the car, the jig will be ready to fab C6 vert roll bars for anyone.

From what I understand, there are quite a number of C5's out there that have roll cages already. Not sure if that will really help the c6 folk.

The top goes up and down like factory.

Yes I do agree that there are a lot of c5s out there with roll bars and cages, But the title says vert. There are only a handful of verts with full cages.. I know its a c5 but I thought that this can give you guys an Idea on what a vert looks like!!

And this Vette shows the two big challenges. The rear braces are awfully steep. I know SCCA requires the angle to be at least 30 degrees from the vertical. And, no diagonal cross brace, which becomes real tricky when you try to run it through the little gap behind the seats. And if you move the main hoop back enough to allow the diagonal to run straight through, then the rear braces get too steep.

I THINK I gotta solution that MAY make the tech guys happy, but we'll see.

There is a cross brace that runs behind the sets but I don't have a pic of that right now.. The car is in the shop for its next set of mods.. I will be heading up in a week to check things out so I will take some more pics.

This cage was built to NHRA specs to run as quick as 8.50 in the 1/4. and is cert to 8.50..

The rear bars are at the max angle that would fit in a vert.. (look at the vertical degree of the rear window on any vert..) there's really no more room to play with there..
