Default Need some quick guidance

I think the driver side ballast on my HIDs might be going out. Some times the D/S low beam will turn on and sometimes it won't. It's not the bulb because if it was bad it wouldn't turn on at all.

Can anyone tell me exactly where the Ballast is located on the C6s. I want to make sure it's not a bad connection before i buy a new ballast.

Thanks

It's mounted in & underneath the headlight housing I think you can get to it from the bottom of the car. Just take the brake cooler panel off and look up.

I doubt it a connection to the ballast though as they are pretty serious connections. Have someone turn on the lamps and Listen to the ballast during warm up. If it makes that low whine for longer than a couple of seconds the ballast is probably on it's way out.

I would check the connection at the low beam bulb. That could be loose or corroded.

Thanks. There's nothing more ugly than driving around with one headlight on...especially in a car like this.

Not to mention that the PoPo likes to write tickets for the drivers light being out. And it's not a quick and easy fix like most lights. I cannot stand for lights to be out. I recently had a fog light go out and here I am at 10 at night in front of AutoZone with the bottom of the nose apart changing a bulb because I didn't want to drive it any farther than I had to with the light out. I always drive with my fogs on.

Worse case scenario you can take it to the dealer.
