Default Bullets drone issue

I took my car out for a quick spin and was quickly reminded how annoying the drone is from my BB bullets. I have stock headers on now, waiting on LG pros & x-pipe to arrive.

Will the x-pipe & headers eliminate the drone? or can I expect the same as with stock headers, no x-pipe?

In my past experience, LG headers and X made the drone worse, not better. Sorry.

Is there anyway to scale down some of the drone?

The headers will just make the situation worst. I highly recommend considering a different exhaust if you are bothered by the drone. My Corsa Extremes were great without headers but droned like crazy once I installed a cam and headers. I switched to the factory NPP and love it. I highly recommend the NPP if you want the best of both worlds.

NPP is the factory option exhaust available on 08-up C6's. It has baffles in the two inner tips that control flow/noise levels. There are a couple of vendors on the forum that sell a switch that opens/closes the baffles. When the baffles are open, the car sounds like it has an aftermarket catback. When they are closed, the car sounds virtually stock. I normally drive with them open, but if I'm having a conversation with a passenger going down the freeway, I have them closed.

So I would need new mufflers (either stock or BB Fusion), then the kit from nekid, right?

Any other way to acheive this?

That is the only way I know of. Maybe another member will chime in with an option to work with your Bullets.

I love the bullets sound, but on long highway runs it's really 'numbing'...

worse now with the LG G5X3 cam

I know exactly what you mean. It kinda bites knowing how much you spent on an exhaust and it ends up annoying you. I was lucky enough to find a set of NPP's for an excellent price.

Yeah put the stock exhaust back on. The car will sound pretty good with headers and the stock exhaust.

My C6 came with the NPP, I really liked them. I upgraded to Z06 3" B&B Fusions, almost as load as the bullets but when I don't want the drone I close them just like I did with the NPP's.

I have Borlas on my '88. The drone was annoying, so I put some sound deadener under the rear carpet, Dynomat brand. It toned it down a little bit, but didn't eliminate it.

I have to agree, the B B sound great, but if you have a H/C Headers they are loud!!!
I'm also waiting on my Super Pro Lgs at which time I will install a set of 3" Fussions!!!

The drone was pretty annoying when I had the bullets on. It became imuch worse after I put the LG Headers on.. I went back to stock for a short time and then went to NPP with the M2W..I'm very happy with the NPP and the drone goes away with the click of the remote
