check your fluid level. If its ok, then the 3-4 clutches are probably toast... Had the same thing happen to my truck.....

2005 /22000 miles
Yestrday I was out for a drive and in overdrive the tranny just kicked out of gear . It will hold in first and second but in third and overdrive it just spins free . In these gears it will engage if I really romp on it.
Does this sound like a computer problem or what? No code came up.

FYI- I had this EXACT same problem. Check your fluid level.
I send off my transmission and converter when this happened in mine, and there was nothing at all wrong with either one.
