Default Exhaust system

Good morning! I have a 08 3Lt vette... I am interested in purchasing an exhaust system. However, I am concerned about the interior noise... Yet, I am looking for the great exterior sound as well. Can anyone direct me?

Note: It's an automatic

Thanks

Different recommendations might come your way if you posted what transmission you had.......

Your best bet is a dual mode exhaust. The stock NPP used or new from a Dealer, a used Z06 from the Parts for Sale section of this Forum or a BB aftermarket from numerous vendors. Be sure and add an exhaust controller from either Sunset Orange Creations or Son of Dreams, the controller makes the amount of noise controllable by the driver.

There are hundreds of threads on the subject so you have hours of reading to help you decide which dual mode exhaust to buy.

I suggest looking for a couple of people with aftermarket exhausts and asking for a ride if possible. The sound level that is quiet to one person may be loud to another. I have B&B touring and I like the sound. But it is definitely louder than stock and has a little resonance. I agree with the suggestion that the factory dual mode would not be too loud since all factory exhausts must meet government noise standards.

Hey Blue, looks like I'm with you again on another post.

I definitely agree, if at all possible... ask for rides, ask to listen to various exhausts. It's definitely a matter of personal preference. B&B's were a little too much for me when I had my '06, so I went with Corsa's. I'm in an '09 now however with the dual mode exhaust. Just installed the Mild 2 Wild and gotta say, having 2 exhaust systems in one fits my bill just perfectly.
