Default LG header clamp help

I was lucky enough to find used LG longtube headers on the forum here (thanks paulkr), which should arrive today.

Anyone know what clamps I need to install these, as none are being provided from the previous owner.

If I knew what I need to buy I could pick up today.

Can anyone help?

Denis

I believe this is an open, and usually very helpful & friendly forum.

This is the second time you reply to one of my posts with the sole intent of shoooting off your big mouth. I've been a member since 2004 and I can honestly say you're the only dipsh!t I've encountered on here in 5yrs.

If you can't or don't want to answer, go hijack someone else's tread.

This is the type of clamp that the LG systems use:

They work fairly well but are still prone to leaking. I had flanges welded to the header and x-pipe, and all the joints from xpipe to exhaust pipe welded to eliminate leaking.

Those are exactly like the stock system uses. Aren't LG's 3" at the collector? If so you could get exahust clamps for a Z06 at the local GM dealer.

Having said that, could I use my existing clamps?

Thanks for the advice on this one by the way.

The stock system only has 4 clamps (all are welded on the pipes). I believe the lg's require 6 clamps (the whole xpipe is several pieces)

LG uses 3" clamps on all joints as long as the headers are the PRO series, except for the last one that connects to your factory over the axle mufflers which is 2.5". Call or email LG and find out how many you will need. If the clamps are in good condition and tightened properly they usually don't leak. Good luck with your new headers. Get a good tune and CAI, if you don't have one already, and it'll feel like a new car.

Thanks... I guess I need 6 clamps, so 4-3" & 2-2.5"

This mod should go well with my LG G5X3 cam, bullets, Vararam and tune by Charlie at RPM
