Default Safe to run without cats

Hey all, a buddy of mine has an '09 with tune, LG Pro's, and BB Bullets exhaust...he was wondering if its safe to run without the cats. He was worried about not enough backpressure.

Most people prefer a large dog when running in a park or unsafe neighborhood at night, not sure what kind of protection or safety a cat would provide anyway when going jogging.
So yes it is safe to run without cats as long as you have a Pitbull or maybe even a tough Irish Setter by your side.

I'm not running cats either.... I actually love the tone with the stock catback... It's fairly quiet, but screams at WOT... If I had an aftermarket catback, I would probably run cats because the volume would be too much for me....

Doesn't it throw a check engine light if you remove the cats?

And where in the world do you people go to have cats removed. I can't find a place that will remove mine and they keep saying it will set of the CEL.

I’m running Kooks 1-7/8 Headers, Kooks 3x2-1/2 (No Cats), Flowmaster American Racing Exhaust

Sounds wicked with no cats

I’ve had no issues with it. I just had the rear O2 sensors turned off in the tune.

Sounds awesome with the top down.

It's safe, but why do that to the air we all breathe?

If your worried about that you better quit taking craps, it releases methane gas, not telling what that does to the air you breathe.
