Short shifter question

Ok, we're back in the office.
Keep in mind that the vibrations generated through the torque tube resonate up a shifter, like an antennae. Let's check that first.
Here is a thread that someone posted. It has good pictures and description of what to check. Also retain the noise isolation pad.

I spoke to Jason today at MTI and they are sending me a new short shifter to replace the existing one. They assure me that there shifter is top notch.. and like I said from the beginning it extremely precise but just way to loud.
Im highly impressed with MTI's customer service and Im looking forward to replacing the shifter.. Hopefully it all comes out right..
