That's why our cylinder heads work so well - we do the work ourselves and in-house...and it's guaranteed to flow and preserve velocity.
BTW, which heads and from whom are the "hooged out" ones and by who?
Ray, some vendors appear to be on a CFM war, claiming that their heads flow more CFM's than others, but this does not equate to a better performing head. Some heads that flow less CFM's may peform and respond better than the ones that flow higher CFM's. It is all about the "QUALITY" of flow, versus the "QUANTITY of flow. Another issue is advertising max flow at 700 lift, which realistically will never happen, even a 650 lift is on the edge of use, since no one is constantly operating their vehicles at redline all day long. Midrange lift has to be taken into account, especially for daily driven vehicles.
If you're going FI, why even bother with ported heads? If you want more air in the motor, pulley down a bit. Spend the money on hardened drive train parts, stickier rubber, top of the line radar detector, and driving school. Blown Z has got to be a lot of fun!

Believe it or not...your not the first to say "why bother (w/ supercharger)". I'm considering a forged bottom and figured why not when I'm that deep into the engine anyway. I assumed it was the norm.....?

An LS7 head is a pretty awesome piece as is. No way would I even consider porting it for anything short of a max effort track machine. What are your HP goals? I'm guessing 750 very streetable rwhp is easily doable with stock heads. The drivetrain would need some pretty substantial upgrades to handle that kind of power. If that's not enough...........
