. The emotional attachment to a mechanical object is rather amusing. If you think about the time to pull the engine, schedule and perform machine shop time, and then the re-assembly you are talking 3-4 weeks in itself. Then add in everything else plus a good blended paint job you are at 5-6 weeks. That's the way it goes for this "hobby". I just cant wait to run the car with the new trans and rear-end w/new gearing - it will be very cool indeed

Yes - I heard from my Body Shop that coming by parts for some folks is a nightmare because of all the plant shutdowns. He has folks waiting 3-4 months for simple parts. I would personally be on the phone with every junk yard in the country trying to find "my" part.
