If you have the ever-popular "C5/C6 Rocking Seat", it's likely that new seat rails will cure your problem at least for a while. I had this in a C6 Vert that I once owned and the dealer fixed it under warranty with new seat rails. He had to do it twice, though. The first set of replacement seat rails that he installed were no better than the rails that came with the car. The second set worked, though.

Im not sure if your referring to the rocking seat or the electric motor moving the seat back and forth. I had the electric motor moving the seat back and forth on the passenger side and it was just the little button had been sticking. I moved it back and forth a few times and broke it loose no more problem.

I had it twice fixed on my C5 and already once on the C6.
