Default Unable to start C6

My wife started her C6 and drove it out of the garage to wash it. When she was done she got in and the car will not start. All she gets is a click but the engine will not start. the "check engine" icon is also lit. Has anyone experienced this problem?

I am sitting here 7,000 miles away and can not help her so I am hoping someone on the forum can give me some advice.

Sounds like a weak battery.

Is it an 05/06 ??? It could be just a dead battery. 3+ years seems to be a corvette battery's life span. This would be about the time when the battery gives out.

It is a 2006 with the original battery. She says when she presses the start button, the dash comes to life, the seat moves into position, radio comes on, but all se gets is s "click" sound....engine does not crank nor start

1) Low Battery (most likely... can easily happen at that battery age, or if doors open/radio on while detailing)
2) Neutral/Park position switch (if auto trans; move selector in and out of "Park" a few times)
3) Clutch switch (if manual trans)

Tell her to disconnect the battery, wait 15 seconds, then reconnect.

This seems to work for me when I have similar problems.

If this works, tell her to re-index the windows after.

Your lucky the battery lasted this long. I'm sure it is time to replace it.

Well, you guys were right, and I appreciate all the feedback. Problem was the battery!!
Had the dealership replace the battery and I also got a battery tender as well.
