I've disconnected my '06 battery and all I had to do was re-index the windows. (I believe the 'computers' monitor the radio code, tune, etc in SRAM so it remains without power)

Window re-index only and that is in the owner's manual how to do. The rest will be fine.

I remember when I wrote my first Pong game code on a Commodore 64, I had to save the coding on
a cassette tape. Memory has improved a lot since.

I just installed a new battery last week. The only thing I had to reset was the window index and the time on the radio. Strangely the station presets were saved but not the time.

Sometimes I have to reset the TOD on the clock. And sometimes the memory seats, but not every time. I still do not understand why the memory seats sometimes retain the memory and sometimes they do not.

Attaching a 9V battery to the cigar lighter will probably be enough to maintain everything for a short while.

However, it's a good idea to learn how to index your windows, reset whatever, etc., it may come in handy in some other situation.

I've disconnected my battery many times, and I'll need to purchase a Red Top 35 next year I'm sure, but the only thing I've noticed that changes when the battery is disconnected is I've had to reset the clock; everything else was ok, seats, radio, windows, etc......maybe I just have good capacitors and RAM's, LOL!
