I'm seriously considering tracking my Vette (09 C6 M6), and I want to switch out the seats to sometime that will be comfortable at the track..I know the stock seats are very poor for the track...any comments or recommedations.
Looks like for price the courbeau fx series is the way to go, but LG motorsports just came out with a seat that is designed for the vette and is resonable, do you need a seat to meet race class or just for track time. IF price is not an issue sparco evo or the carviggio seats are nice. They can get into the 1000 range per seat plus mounts.

Just for track day...not going on the race curcuit yet. Thanks for the info!
You could try a CG-Lock, they hold you in the OEM seat quite good.
Pull the seat belt all the way out, then feed it back in, you will hear a rattling sound and the belt will lock you in place, no need to buy a CG lock. It's a good product though.
That's what I have. Two 16" Kirkey Deluxe seats on Gary's Hardbar rails.
Once you get it down, you can swap a set of race seats back to stock seats in ~30/40min taking your time.
As stated it is an easy swap in and out. It does take a while to set up the seat with the hardbar because you have many different choices although if you look at a finished picture that would be a good staring point. The nice part about the kirkey deluxe seats is they have a cnc finished bottom brace with holes completed which makes it an easy install...
