Drivetrain geometry/mounting question.
A "fix" is to replace factory mounts w/poly, but that increases NVH.
Here is my question: If the factory had designed dramatically wider mounts, like the "bat wing" design on the C4 rear, the mounts would have lees force exerted on them by the torque. There for, less "flex" under acceleration, and less opportunity for the wheel hop and drive train "whiplash". You could maintain the soft, sloppy bushings for low NVH, but you'd have much higher "axial" stiffness of the powertrain...if that is worded right.
