By the way I have a 05 Vert, and Drone is not a problem for me as you can all ready tell with the loud Mouths.

Never heard anyone wanting a nice sounding cam to match the sound of an exhaust??? Are you wanting a nice lope? you need to figure out what your goals are and contact comp cams and have them help you decide. YOu do know you will need to upgrade more than just the cam depending on what your goals are right?

If you're doing the work yourself call Comp Cams if not, the Vette Doctor will hook you up

Yeah Yeah. That's all I wanted too, that cam sound. Went over to "The Vette Doctors" with 900 miles on the car and Carmen talked me into a 224/228 cam. Went with a 113 LSA for the sound. Then I decided I needed more power. The rest is history. Tell him I sent you. LOL.

I was not trying to be a smart a$$, still do not know what you mean by cam sound. I had a 228/224 reverse split cam in my TA and it had a nice lope to it. Is that wha you are talking about?

Yes, he is looking for decent lope. I like the thought of that Vette Docs 224/228 113lsa.

It's hard to think what you went towards me behind a computer. No Harm No Foul. The guy who posted the Utube vido of sound knows what I ment. Sorry I thought you where just behing mean to someone like myself that is new to all this. For what it's worth I worked my butt off and bought a vett, nothing was handed out to me, not that you said that. Just wanted to be clear I am not a kid. I am 43 years old looking for a great sounding vett thats all. Take care

NO problem John, I just got mine a few weeks ago. I am a little over 50 and this is my 50th birthday present to myself. I could not figure out what you was talking about, thats why I asked lope. You said you wanted it to match your exhaust and that is what threw me. I know a blower or supercharger has a whine to it. but I could not figure out what you meant. I totally get the sound of a cammed car. sorry I am a little slow.

BTW, go a little bigger than the 224/228. I had that in my 2001 TA. they go much bigger now. again it depends on your goals and what rpm you want to make power in.

If you really are mostly interested in a muscle car sound, go with the GM Hot Cam. It's very reasonably priced, engineered by GM, and will give you a very nice power gain. You might even be able to get your dealer to install it. Like any aftermarket cam, it will void your warranty, but a friendly dealer might look the other way, especially in today's market.

I run a Vararam, FAST, my Comp Cam, Kooks 1 3/4" long-tube headers, x-pipe with cats, Corsa cat-back and tune.

Bunk22,

did you ever get any before after dyno numbers with your set up? I am wanting to do almost the same mods. maybe less the cam. So basically I want Vararam, Fast intake, long tube headers and cat back.

I'd go with a 112lsa with something in the high 220, low 230 duration range.
