Default i need help. big time

i have a 05 corvette with just under 10k miles. its just out of warranty and recently i have been having problems. while driving one day all of the warning lights came on the dash(low oil,low tire pressure, abs, brake, etc) every possible dummy light came on. i was getting false readings from the fuel gauge. then the next day i went to drive it and everything was normal but it wouldnt start. just clicked but no dead batt. i pulled the battery for 48 hours. worked flawless for 3 days. now i have the same problem. is this something wrong with one of the control modules?

Probably not. Most likely, it's the battery. You need a new one. There may be a slow drain when you shut the engine off, but if it's the original battery, it's just not getting enough charge. You've got to drive the C6 at about 2K rpm or better for 10-15 minutes to just barely keep the battery up.

thank you. but it seems odd that it would do this all of the sudden. it has sat for longer periods of time without being driven and have never had any problems, the lights came on while driving, wouldnt it have been charging the whole time?

Default Try This

Pull a battery from another vehicle and place it in the vette, run for a dozen or so miles and see what happens.

Depending on purchase date build date etc, you could have a 5 year old battery. Its time

You can have the battery tested. Take it to Autozone. If the battery is good, suspect a bad ground somewhere. There are lots of them.

Keys to schematics for grounds:

Underhood:
(1) Battery Positive Voltage
(2) Fuse Block-Underhood C4
(3) Fuse Block-Underhood C3
(4) Fuse Block-Underhood C2
(5) Fuse Block-Underhood C1
(6) Battery
(7) Fuse Block-Underhood
(8) G104
(9) G106 (Engine Block)
(10) G107 (Engine Block)
(11) G105 (Engine Block)
(12) G101
(13) G102

There are 2 on the drivers side

Cockpit
(1) Cigar Lighter
(2) Auxiliary Outlet
(3) G301
(4) G201
(5) Splice Pack SP205
(6) Ignition Mode Switch

2 on the passenger side

(1) Splice Pack SP208
(2) Body Control Module (BCM) C2
(3) Body Control Module (BCM) C3
(4) Body Control Module (BCM) C4
(5) G202
(6) Relay Block-I/P
(7) G302

2 at the rear suspension:

(1) Fuel Tank-Right
(2) G402
(3) G401

Did they go off or stay on? Is it affecting the driving ability of your car?

If it's a manual tranny make sure that the car has had the BCM reflash to prevent DBS, which is a sudden dead battery.

Bring it to the a dealer and see if they are willing to help you out. I had my water pump go on my 05, 16k miles, and the dealership and GM paid for majority of it.
